Melissa Venrick DDS MS

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Zoology, Dr. Venrick completed her dental degree and orthodontic training at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.

She is author of the article "Special Considerations For The Dental Professional For Patients With Down Syndrome," Oklahoma Dental Association Journal (Winter 1994), and cited for contributions to the article "In-Vitro Stain-induced Color Shift In Selected Direct Esthetic Restorative Materials," Journal of Dental Research (1993). She also completed an original thesis entitled "Vertical Control of Maxillary Molar Position with a Palatal Appliance" in 1996. As a research assistant, Dr. Venrick co-authored an article published in the Journal of Child Neurology in 1991

Dr. Venrick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is a member in good standing of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists, the Colorado Dental Association and the Boulder County Dental Society. Dr. Venrick attends continuing education courses in orthodontics and related fields throughout the year.S

Aside from the practice of orthodontics, Dr. Venrick loves being a mom. In her spare time, she also enjoys photography and scrapbooking.

Treatment Philosophy
/ see every patient as an individual, with a unique personality and different orthodontic needs. Since no single treatment plan fits everyone, I develop a tailor-made plan that meets each person's needs and accomodates his or her lifestyle. I employ a variety of different treatment modalities in my practice.

As recommended by the American Association of Orthodontists, children should receive an orthodontic evaluation by age 7. I am conservative in my approach, and only recommend treatment when it is beneficial.

I believe that orthodontic treatment should be a positive experience that results in a wonderful smile for life. I am committed to providing excellence in orthodontic treatment and keeping current with new developments through continuing education.
